A rough translation of the poems to English:
Hintergarten
Da stand ich heut' im Garten.
Erkenn' nich' meine Schatten.
Benebelt im Gedanken.
Backyard
I stood today in garden
Recognized not my shadows
Bemused within deep thoughts

Ohne Schminke, kein Vorwand
Rosa Rosen an der Wand
Ausstrahlung für jedermann
Herzen glücklich in den Bann

Hot pink roses climb the wall
Charisma is in the air
Joyous hearts are under spell
Of course, the translation
broke my meter and rhyme in the
German original. However, the imagery basically survived.
